January 27, 2017 – April 16, 2017
Gritty Baltimore streets, serene Cape Cod beaches, horses in Maryland fields—all were parts of the world of Herman Maril (1908–1986). Nearly 90 works by the great Mid-Atlantic modernist are coming to Arkansas from Maryland. This major exhibition surveying Maril’s career from the 1920s to the 1980s is a project on which the Arts Center’s Curator of Drawings, Ann Prentice Wagner, has been working for eight years.

Ansel Adams: Early Works
January 27, 2017 – April 16, 2017

This tradition includes the 19th century painters Albert Bierstadt, Thomas Cole and Thomas Moran, and the 19th century photographers Carleton Watkins, Timothy O’Sullivan, and William Henry Jackson.
